Note: James Tindaro (Uncle Jimmy) was a plumber & he convinced
Grandpa Mike (Michael Lawrence Biondo) to move to Atlantic
City. Michael worked for Uncle Jimmy for a while, then went

He had a bar that served bathtub gin.
When the depression hit, Michael worked as a singing waiter.
See picture.
Story from Mom: It was wartime in 1942 and Michael went
crabbing in the bay. Because it was wartime, the Coast Guard
required every boat owner to have a license. In order to get
the license, he had to show some document. Up until that time
they had always thought that his birthday was May 8, when in
fact it was May 20. They now think that the switch happened
because May 8 is St. Michael's day and since his name was
Michael, they celebrated that day. As the years went by,
perhaps the whole thing got fuzzy and he himself thought his
birth date was May 8.
